Pfizer Vaccination Platform for Children 5 to 11 Years

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced that children between the ages of 5 and 11 years can start receiving the vaccine after registering on the Covax Platform to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

Date of vaccination to be announced by MOPH in the near future.

MOPH Newly Updated Home Isolation Guidelines

  • Persons who test positive for COVID-19 and do not display any symptoms need to be home isolated for 10 days without taking a PCR test. They can return to school on day 11 from their PCR positive date.
  • Persons who test positive for COVID-19 and display symptoms need to be home isolated for at least 10 days on the condition that the last 24 hours is fever-free without taking a fever-reducing medication (Panadol or Advil), and their respiratory symptoms have improved. They can return to school on day 11 from their positive PCR test.
  • Fully vaccinated persons who have been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case and do not display any symptoms can return to school after 7 days of home quarantine without taking a PCR test. Alternatively, they can return to school after 6 days with a negative PCR test taken on day 5.
  • Unvaccinated persons who have been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case and do not display any symptoms need to be home quarantined for 10 days. Instead, they can return to school on day 8 with a negative PCR test taken on day 7.

New Travel Guidelines

All passengers arriving in Lebanon must register on MOPHPASS.

  • All Passengers (except children under 12 years of age) arriving in Lebanon must do the following:
    • Take a PCR test in the departing country no more than 48 hours between the test result and the date of arrival to Lebanon.
    • Or fully vaccinated passengers (since a period not exceeding 6 months) arriving at the airport can present a COVID-19 Antigen Test including QR code for the 24 hours between the sampling date and boarding the plane from the country of origin.
    • Upload the PCR test result on MOPHPASS.
    • Obtain and download a QR code sent from MOPH via a text message on their phone.
    • Show the link received on their phone for the local authorities to check upon their arrival to Lebanon.
  • All passengers need to take a PCR test upon their arrival to Lebanon except children under 12 years of age and UNIFIL personnel.
  • Starting January 10, 2022, the payment method for the PCR test performed at Beirut Airport will be amended as follows:
    • All passengers arriving in Lebanon (except children under the age of 12 and UNIFIL) must obtain a MOPHPASS that allows them to take a PCR test upon their arrival to Lebanon. In order to get the MOPHPASS and take the PCR test, a fee of 30 US Dollars will be charged in advance to each traveler and be paid through a credit card on the MOPHPASS platform.
  • Passengers, who have performed a PCR test upon arrival at Beirut Airport, will have to remain home quarantined until a message and an electronic copy of their PCR test result is sent to them (24 - 48 hours).
  • If the PCR test result was positive, the person must immediately inform the COVID-19 Hotline 1787 at the Ministry of Public Health.

Reporting COVID-19 Cases to the ACS Response Team

The ACS Response Team urges you to report to them in case you:

  • Have tested positive for COVID-19 with the date of positive PCR test result attached.
  • Have one family member living in the same house who tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Were in close contact with a positive case.
  • Were traveling outside the country.
