Project Summary

Natural playgrounds stimulate a child’s imagination, boosts their energy levels, and increases their interest in play considerably. Natural playgrounds are beautiful, serene spaces that encourage fun, safe interactions and creativity. They help children appreciate nature and learn about their environment.

Safety and well-being of the children were the main factors taken into consideration of the new daycare playground, while also considering the children’s social, emotional and physical capabilities and limitations. The existing playground in the BD Building was completely transformed in order to exist as a beautiful space, representing nature by removing all plastic components and replacing them with wood. This encourages children to participate in the world around them and foster appreciation for nature.
