Project Summary
The design of the outdoor areas will support classroom learning by reinforcing our belief that time between classes can be as significant as the formal classroom in student growth and development. These “in-between spaces”, where transit seating areas encourage communication, interaction, and collaborative experiences, can enhance the student learning process and encourage positive student behavior in true campus culture.
These outdoor areas are becoming outdated and are showing signs of high wear and tear. There is a necessity to remodel these aging areas in order to provide efficient learning environments and spaces of outdoor relaxation. These spaces are critical to supporting student growth in an urban environment.
