Middle School Production: Where the Streets are not Marked
Posted 27/02/2020 08:50AM

This year's Middle School production Where the Streets are not Marked explores the journey of a refugee family as they search for a place to call home.

The original script combines Dr. Seuss' well known book Oh the Places You'll Go with the non fiction texts Stormy Seas, The Good Braider and The Journey.

This experimental ensemble piece explores the possibilities of storytelling through movement, projections, lighting and a rhythmic and non-conventional approach to narrative. The production also uses live original music composed and performed by students from grade 7 and 8. The young cast are clear examples of creative risk-takers who worked hard together to bring an emotive subject to life. The process was based on a workshop and devising approach, with the script constantly evolving as the actors developed each scene.

We look forward to seeing you at the show, March 13th @5pm and March 14th @7pm. Tickets are on sale at the MS main office, priced 5000 LBP. Get yours soon!
