Grade 9/10 Drama classes performed various scenes and monologues of their choosing one afternoon followed by films from the high school Week Without Walls Film school. Students selected the works that they presented and worked alone or in groups. There were over 7 different pieces shared.

One group of students adapted a one act play from the book ‘Returning to Haifa’ by Ghassan Kanafani. Incidentally, they study Mr. Kanafani and his works in their Arabic course, and his wife speaks each year at ACS about his life and works.

There was a large group of students from Drama II who performed ‘Sleepless Nights - A Dream Devised;’ three students paid homage to Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Gene Kelly in the work ‘Silent Restaurant Fight.’ and four students performed monologues, 3 from ‘The Tragedy of Julius Caesar’ and one from ‘Why we broke up.’

At the end, there were films from the Week Without Walls Film School, during which students were taught more technical aspects of filming like lighting techniques, camera angles and makeup. 11 Film School students showed their work at the end of the performances.
