The Green Field was decorated in bright spring colors provided by inflatables, games, and a brightly decorated entrance gate. From anywhere in the field, the large Instant Raffle Prize booths could be seen as well as the prizes themselves. This year over 750 prizes were donated and a bell was rung everytime the ticket said ‘Winner.’
Families gathered in the seating area to listen to the music or take a break from the sunshine. They ate food from a variety of vendors provided by Souk Akel, sipped on a cold beverage or had some ice cream to cool down. Inside the outdoor court area, students were driving their karts around the track or playing electronic games. Those a little more adventurous headed to the Haunted Mansion under the gym for a very scary story and a walk through the mansion.
Organizer, Deputy Head of School Karim Abu Haydar said “this was one of the most successful Spring Festivals, thanks to the efforts put forth by all of those who helped. It was great to see everyone smiling and engaged with their children.” Every year, the funds raised go support a particular project. This year, funds raised during the Spring Festival, will support student financial aid.
