Dear ACS Community Members,
This update is to inform you on recent coronavirus cases. At this time, we have three confirmed members who have tested positive for COVID-19 in our ACS Community:
It is noteworthy that all three people are neighbors and were in close contact last week. All three people are currently in isolation. In addition, the grade 2 student's siblings (grade KG1 A, grade 10, grade 7) tested negatively.
Following with the recommendations of health officials and to limit the spread of the virus, if you or your child have been in contact with the above-mentioned individuals we request you adhere to following guidelines. Moreover, we strongly advise nursery, KG1 and grade 2 parents follow the recommendations below:
If you had no contact with the parent who has tested positively and you have had no symptoms: there is no need to be isolated and restrict activity, and we need to remain vigilant. Please continue to follow the guidelines on hand-washing and sanitary practices that prevent the spread of viruses, and take the time to read over the following resources while at home: In addition, we have advised our adults who have worked in those divisions to follow these guidelines through March 14th although at this time none has any symptoms. All face-to-face on campus meetings will be confined to groups of 20 of fewer adults this week.
We will continue to communicate updates as they become available. We believe it is our responsibility be transparent and communicate all reported cases related to the ACS community while respecting the dignity and privacy of each person. Please contact our Response Team at responseteam@acs.edu.lb
We want to reassure you that the well-being, health, and safety of our students and faculty and staff is a top priority and we will continue to be in close contact with the health officials to follow best practice and protocols to limit potential exposure.
