Dear ACS Families,
I am pleased to announce that the new ACS website is now live. This is a project we've been working on for the past year, and I'm very pleased with the results.
Our previous website was produced in 2016, and the way schools are presenting themselves via websites has changed significantly. We wanted our website to be much more visual, with photographs and video montages that provide a nice picture of what ACS is all about.
Since we were re-writing nearly all the website copy, our main goal was to achieve consistency and clarity in our descriptions. We wanted to highlight aspects of the ACS experience that are unique to ACS and to focus on key elements of our educational philosophy. We also wanted to provide a more detailed explanation of the academic program at each division: early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school. Links to these "Academic Frameworks" can be found on each division's landing page.
We also wanted to convey the fact that ACS is mainly about its people: students, teachers, staff, families, and alumni. We are sharing profiles about students, alumni, and faculty of ACS to provide a more intimate window into the people who comprise our community. These stories will be refreshed and archived regularly.
Taking on a project of this scope would not have been possible without the dedication, thoughtfulness, and time committed to this project by members of the ACS team. We are grateful for the efforts of everyone who contributed over the course of the past year, especially our two project leads, Hasan El Masri and Linda Cangiano.
We hope you enjoy browsing the new website either on our phone or on your computer. We'll be adding some additional features in the coming months, which will further enhance the user experience. For your convenience, you can access the new website here.
