Dear ACS Families,
As we enter the last month of the school year, we have a number of special events and year-end activities on the calendar. It's a very busy time of year, I know, but I do hope you'll be able to attend some of these special events.
On Wednesday, May 15, we are hosting our annual fundraising dinner event at Pastel Beirut. This is the event that was originally scheduled in October and was postponed because of the crisis. All proceeds from this event will support our financial aid program, which provides some tuition relief to families who may need it. You may purchase tickets here.
Our annual spring Splash Fest is happening on Saturday, May 18, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the ACS athletic field. This is a family event with lots of fun and games. Proceeds from this event will also support the financial aid program. You may purchase tickets for Splash Fest here.
Finally, we are making our final push for contributions to the ACS Annual Fund, which supports the ACS operating budget in vital areas: facilities, faculty and staff support, sustainability, academic program, and financial aid. These contributions help us to continue to strengthen our school in so many ways. As a not-for-profit school that does not receive any annual funding from the U.S. or other governments, donations from our families and alumni are enormously important to the school's operation. Here is the link to donate to the Annual Fund.
Before closing, I want to acknowledge that today was the last day of classes for seniors. I had the privilege of teaching three seniors in my U.S. History class, and I'm grateful for their leadership and contributions to my class. To all seniors, good luck on your final exams!
Sincerely,
