Dear ACS Families,

I am writing today to let you know that Middle School Principal Mary Noble has informed me that she will be leaving ACS at the conclusion of the current academic year. 

I would like to thank Mary for her service and dedication to ACS since she arrived here in the summer of 2022.  She came into the role of Middle School Principal when we were still deeply enmeshed in the worst part of the financial crisis. 

I have appreciated the earnestness and thoughtfulness Mary has brought to the Middle School Principal position.  With the help of all faculty and staff in the Middle School, we have made good progress and raised the academic and behavioral expectations of our students.  I know that high school faculty have remarked on how much better prepared for high school successive classes of rising 9th graders have been.  That's been so nice to hear. 

I want to congratulate Mary on her appointment as the Middle School Teaching and Learning Coordinator of the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India.  It is a different set of challenges, for sure, but I am sure she will bring the same level of commitment and determination that she brought to ACS.

We have begun the process of searching for a Middle School Principal for the 2024/25 school year.  We will make sure that this leadership transition will be as seamless and smooth as possible.
