Dear ACS Families, I wanted to write a quick note before the weekend. We are all watching and waiting to see what will happen in Lebanon over the next few days. Hopefully, things remain quiet, calm, and peaceful in Beirut. With the exception of today, a day in which we expected to have a higher level of absenteeism, our student attendance over the past week has gotten better each day. Moreover, we expect to see the return of a few international teachers over the next few days. These are encouraging signs, and we hope this trend will continue. As you all know, we are doing our best to keep the experience for our students as normal as possible. I believe the best place for students to be during these uncertain times is in school. Being in the company of peers and teachers is the best antidote to anxiety and stress. I'll provide an additional update early next week. Sincerely, |
