Arts Outreach Program
At ACS our Arts Outreach Program provides students with opportunities to collaborate with community members, organizations, and artists to bring art to public spaces, host workshops, and participate in meaningful community engagement activities.
- ACT for the Disappeared (ACT) is a distinguished Lebanese human rights organization established in 2010, which aims to address the continued issue of missing and forcibly disappeared individuals from the Lebanese Civil War. By tirelessly advocating for the rights of these individuals and their families on diverse fronts, ACT strives to provide answers and solace to the thousands of families affected. Through various stages of engagement, ACT has partnered with the ACS Arts Department to create and devise multi-disciplinary works and performances that tell the stories and experiences of those most affected by the disappearances of their loved ones.
- Playful Hearts is an initiative led by a group of ACS students in collaboration with the Lebanese NGO INAASH. Through weekly visual arts workshops it offers under-served children a creative outlet not only to express themselves but also to share their stories and perspectives with the world.
