Jessica Brown
Elementary School Principal

Jessica's passion for teaching started at an early age when she would eagerly gather the neighborhood kids for "school" sessions during her summer breaks. This innate calling led her to pursue a BA in Elementary Education and Spanish from Houston Baptist University.

Following her graduation, Jessica worked as a classroom teacher in a community near the United States border with Mexico. While there she participated in numerous humanitarian aid projects on both sides of the border. She taught in a Spanish-language pre-kindergarten program.

She eventually earned an MA in Islamic Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Driven by a newfound fascination with Arab culture which stemmed in part from her graduate study, Jessica set out on her most significant adventure to date: teaching at Al-Bayan Bilingual School in Kuwait. What was initially a two-year contract transformed into a seven-year journey. Along the way, she embraced diverse roles, transitioning from teaching to instructional coaching, to assistant principal, and finally to the head of nursery school, all within the same institution.

During her summers, Jessica devoted herself to mastering the Arabic language and seized the opportunity to visit Lebanon, where she developed a deep appreciation for its food, culture, and people. She moved to Lebanon in 2019 as a teacher in the Early Childhood division and was appointed Elementary School Principal for the 2020/21 school year. During her tenure at ACS, she has appreciated being a part of a community of innovative teachers, creative students, and supportive parents.
