Building on a Firm Foundation
Our Elementary School Program encompasses grades 3 through 5, pivotal years in a child’s intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. We support the whole child by encouraging our students’ love of learning, feelings of intellectual confidence and pride in their achievements, and the compassion and ability to become responsible and supportive members of their community.

ACS offers students a safe space to dream big. There's this palpable culture of empowerment that makes every child believe in his or her ambitions, whatever they may be. ”

A Supportive and Caring Learning Community
Our caring and dedicated teachers design hands-on learning experiences that encourage student curiosity and engagement and provide meaningful real-world context for introducing our standards-based curriculum. Layered on top of that framework is a rich arts, physical education, community service, and outdoor and nature education (ACS ONE) program at our Outdoor Education Center in Deir El Qamar.
At ACS, we embed social and emotional learning (SEL) into our curriculum. SEL enhances students’ abilities to understand and manage their emotions, set and achieve personal and academic goals, show respect and empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible and ethical decisions. These personal and interpersonal competencies provide a foundation for success in work and relationships as adults.
What Sets ACS Apart?
Small Class Sizes
A smaller student-to-teacher ratio fosters stronger teacher-student bonds. Intimate classrooms create a supportive, inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe to ask questions and challenge themselves academically.
Student Empowerment
We educate students to express themselves confidently, collaborate respectfully, and actively engage in activities such as Student Council, morning meetings, and student-led conferences.
Hands-On Learning
Our students learn by doing, whether it is building a 3D model in our Makerspace, testing an entrepreneurial idea during Business Day, or reciting a poem during class assemblies.
Community Service
Students develop empathy and practice advocacy as they become aware of the needs of their community and the impact they can have in addressing them. We encourage our students to plan and execute projects that benefit various NGOs.
After School Explorers
Daily after-school fee-based programming is offered to our ES students. Activities run the gamut from arts, dance and music to sports and STEM activities such as Little Engineering and Bildits, a construction activity.
