The ACS Street Fest was a block party!

In the end, it was a bright sunny afternoon during the Street Fest that had been postponed because of rain the week before. The green field became an entire street block that was filled with games, inflatable slides, bouncy castles, a bungee run, the haunted house, the traditional ‘Dunk A Senior’ and food from Souk El Akel.

As guests arrived, they entered through a colorful arch to claim their ‘street hat’ or goodie bag. Teachers and students were walking around the field selling raffle tickets for over 500 prizes. Prizes ranged from bubbles and crayons to the grand prize ‘Head of Schools for a Day’, won by Roberto Asseily. Teachers, staff, students and parents volunteered that afternoon along with the Parent Volunteer Committee, who spent months organizing the Street Fest to make the event so successful.

True to street fair tradition, there were magicians, stilt walkers and artists walking around the crowds performing for small groups and delighting all. The stage was filled with different local bands like: JLP, YAM, Peter Chouchani, and Zeid Hamdan as well as faculty and student bands.

Of course the Street Fest wouldn’t have happened without sponsors. A big thank you to Bank Med and Gabrielle Bocti s.a.l. for their sponsorship. Recognition should also go to our in-kind donors: Elle & Vire, Regilait, Bonduelle, Tinol and Maliks. It takes a team to showcase creativity and our sponsors did a great job supporting our ACS Community at the Street Fest!
