The ACS Spring sports season kicked off in ideal weather at an outdoor MS and HS pep rally the afternoon of Thursday, March 23. The bright sun and warm temperatures were enthusiastically welcomed by the crowd of students, faculty and staff after a long winter. The HS Golf, MS and HS Tennis, MS and HS Badminton, and MS and HS Track and Field teams were introduced to the school. Athletes were then divided into three teams to compete in a friendly obstacle course race, the first team to finish getting first dibs on pizza that was ordered for the school.

Grade 6 tennis player Abbas El Moussaoui looked ahead to this year’s season with excitement. “This is my first year on the team. We have many members who are of mixed levels but it is organized and we are able to accomplish a lot each day on the two courts,” said Abbas.

Sacha Kheireddine in grade 7 is on the MS Track and Field team. She is a long distance runner who competes in the mile and two mile events. She describes the MS Track and Field team as “fun” and says she likes it “because I’m able to get to know people outside of my class.” After a track meet, her favorite things to do are drink lots of water and relax.

Come out and cheer for our Knights this Spring sports season!
