Students applied what they had learned in art class to produce a rich variety of artworks in different styles, which were put on display from June 1 to 3, in the courtyard of the New Building.

From George Seurat’s pointillism method, to capturing mood through brushstrokes while painting landscapes, to applying Mondrian’s geometrical style of creating forms, to using mixed-media and collage, to mimicking Salvador Dali’s one-point perspective, to creating sculptures from recycled trash, and so much more, visitors could discover the prolific output of Grade 1-5 students during the special end-of-year exhibition. Additionally, students performed pieces in the Lower School Auditorium.

“This was an opportunity to allow everyone to experience the wonderful and whimsical artistic expressions of our elementary students,” said James McLean, visual and performing arts coordinator.
