The Daily Star publishes an article, entitled "Thanks to ACS, Palestinian girls bend it like Beckham," which underscores the role of ACS students in empowering Palestinian refugee girls through soccer training and games. If it weren't for the ACS student volunteers, one Palestinian girl said she would have stayed at home every day, as her parents did not consider it safe for her to play in the camp.
