Welcome to the ACS
Infirmary’s general questions and answers. These questions
and answers came from faculty and staff like you. We hope you find
them helpful and informative.

Who are the ACS doctors?
Dr. Wajdi Khaddaj and Dr Madeline Akel are the ACS doctors. Both
are licensed general practitioners from the American University
Hospital Family Medicine department.

How do I reach the ACS doctors on the week ends or outside their
working schedule?
You can contact both
doctors on their mobile phones in case of an emergency.

3) If I am on a chronic
medication how can I renew and fill out my
prescription?
You need to schedule an
appointment to see the ACS doctor and tell him/her about your
condition so that he /she will note it in your medical file and a
renewal of prescription will be issued at the beginning of each
month.
4) I need to see a
pediatrician for my children. What do I do?
You can either choose one
of the pediatricians recommended by the ACS infirmary from the list
of doctors in your ACS telephone directory booklet or you can call
the ACS doctor.
5) I have a health emergency
after school hours. What can I do?
Call the school nurse and
inform her about your condition who in turn will direct you to the
appropriate channels.
6) When is the ACS doctor
available at school?
Each doctor has specific
schedule he or she works on. You can check out the schedule on the
doctor’s bulletin board to make an appointment.
