Teachers who share the assumptions about
students in the ACS educational philosophy and can contribute to
the ongoing development of the school’s approaches to
education are encouraged to apply. Please visit the section “
ACS Team” on the web page for relevant information pertaining
to listed openings.
As an educational community that
discusses and shares brain based research approaches to education,
ACS reads collectively a book each summer. Recent books are “The
Quality School” and “Quality School Teacher” by
William Glasser, “The Students are Watching” by Ted and
Barbara Sizer,
“Social Intelligence” by David Goleman, and “The
World Café” by Juanita Brown . Each division of the school has
its own additional focuses on curriculum development and student
growth.
The school does hire teachers outside of
the recruitment fairs and has an interview
