Dear Community members,

ACS is happy to announce the beginning of Framingham Master's Program for the school year 2009-2010. The program was offered in previous years at ACS and it proved to be a positive experience for many. It allowed teachers who were hired as local teachers to stay in Lebanon and earn a Master of Education Degree from a US Accredited College.

The program offers a Master of Education Degree with a concentration in International Teaching. It is the most popular degree program that the University offers abroad because it appeals to teachers and educators at all levels (Pre-K through Secondary).

This program is open to ACS and Non-ACS members who hold a BA.

Applicants need to submit the below required documents plus a $100.00 application fee. (Applications can be downloaded from the college website:www.framingham.edu/dgce/iep).

1.      A completed, signed application form.

2.       An official undergraduate degree transcript.  It must be in English.  If not, a translation must be done.  If a person graduated from a foreign university, their credentials would need to be evaluated by an accredited evaluation agency to determine that they have the equivalent of a US Bachelor’s degree.

     3.     Two letters of recommendation.  One letter must be from someone in a supervisory level (these forms can also be downloaded from website).

4.        A complete resume.

5.    A 500 word essay outlining your personal philosophy of education and teaching practice.

This Framingham program is an intensive program consisting of 8 core courses and one elective, given on ACS campus (not online), spread over the span of a year and a half. Every two courses run for a ten day period over two weeks time, and these two courses are usually run simultaneously during school vacation periods (Christmas, Easter, Early/Late Summer).
